In Solidarity with Occupy Portland, Maine

Early this morning October 24, there was a despicable chemical bomb attack directed at protesters peacefully occupying Lincoln Park in Portland, Maine. We just wanted to clarify that this attack did not take place at our occupation in Portland, Oregon. There have been no criminal attacks on our occupation in Oregon and we continue to appreciate the support from our community and its people.

We stand in solidarity with our brothers and sisters in Portland, Maine and will continue to occupy our public spaces in support of our shared message of fairness for the American people and substantial reform of our politics and our economy. We hope that everyone, whether they agree with the Occupy Movement or not, would respect our constitutional right to freedom of speech, expression and assembly and condemn this violent attack on the peaceful Occupy Portland Maine protesters.

Stay strong, Occupy Maine!
