The nuclear dump site at Hanford affects all Cascadians; the storing of nuclear waste’s proximity of deadly radiation to our life-giving waters, the moving of nuclear waste on our highways. Imagine if one of those trucks was to overturn into a tributary of the Columbia River. The need to protect the health of our families crosses all political boundaries. Let’s show the US government that Cascadia will not stand to be the nuclear dump site for the United States.
The Hanford Rally organizers are providing transport from Portland to the April 15th Anti-Nuclear Dump Site Action in Hanford, Washington and have a message to share:
While no one will be turned away from a bus seat, if you can afford $20 for a bus seat, you can secure your own seat as well as help provide a seat for someone who doesn’t have the money to get there but has the voice we need out there. Busses will be leaving Portland City Hall at 6:30 AM and will return at 9PM.
Please fill out this form (http://hanfordrally.wordpress.com/transportation-2/), submit, and let us know your needs and what you can provide. We will contact you with updated bus information. Thank you!
