We’re still here!

The following is a message from the information and media committees:

A group of more than a dozen protesters continues to march around Lownsdale and Chapman Squares, which are now fenced off. While most demonstrators are off taking a well deserved nap, some are still getting joyful honks from passing cars.

They report that they will have their opinions voiced tomorrow at 7, in Pioneer Square, at General Assembly.

Go make a raft and float out to the ocean…

Look into meeting at the large empty business at Foster Rd, right at the Max, one block from SE 92nd Ave. There’s a part-time pop-up store there now and I’m not sure who owns the space. I wrote more but the CAPTCHA keeps rejecting my first attempts and then wipes out my message. That’s okay. Thanks for what you have done; you’ve made progress.

Glad to see that the break up of your encampment has not deterred you. The effort must continue until the very structure of our democracy has changed. From where I am in Bangor Maine to your protest in Portland Oregon we shall call out to the world “the people united will never be defeated.”

You should move to the old Greek Cusinia building on 4th & Washington.

It’s 5 empty floors that’s been vacant for years.

It shows you have no respect for others by the way you trashed and destroyed the parks. Looks like Rats and Pigs lived there. Get a job and rent something instead of thinking you deserve to just take something over because it is empty for years, it doesnt belong to you

      • Steve on November 14, 2011 at 11:58 am

Its a vacant space with restrooms and a kitchen. Their are people, whole families, in need of a place to stay.

This space should used to serve the community, not waste idle for the 1%ers who own half the propery in Portland.

        • Mccoy on November 14, 2011 at 12:11 pm

Maybe if you made better decisions in life you could own some property too. Crazy I know, but people that own stuff work for it!

These parasites don’t understand the concept, they want to blame others for the consequences of their choices, and have their every demand paid for by those who actually work.

    • Taxpayer on November 14, 2011 at 11:07 pm

These protesters should be fined for destroying parks.

I can’t think of a more pathetic bunch of losers/bums than the occutards.

Really look at yourselves, how can you not be completely embarrased about your life?

I feel sorry that you people are so uneducated. Common sense cannot be taught.

I’m sorry the american educational system has failed you.

Who would be stupid enough to offer his building, even if you offered to pay something, which you won’t, when they can see the disgusting way in which you left the downtown parks?

Love and Solidarity! The Struggle continues!

This movement is so right on, so inspiring, so important. I’m eager to see how and where we will regroup.

I would like to see a page on this site with a list of needs, prioritized, for those who would like to help but can’t always be physically present.

What does “joyful honking” sound like? How is it different than sad or angry honking?

    Just askin’
