How can a couple of tech heads get involved in the Bicycle Powered Generator project? We’re happy to provide Charge Controllers and Blocking Isolators and are working on locating the required permanent magnet motors, but need to coordinate with whoever is in charge of this to get specifics. Occupy Portland is just set up as a ploy to make people think there is really something happening in Portland. You’re not for real. You’re just a diversion to take away from Occupy Wall Street and make it easier to conquer us all. Your not fighting amateurs!!!!
I connected with Mike in Media today at Chapman. He told me that he and another fellow, Greg, are also working on the bike power issue. They have a 12V generator with a pulley and small flywheel so far. I also heard that Mike is in contact with someone donating a bank of batteries.
I contacted a local business owner with generator bikes and he’s consented to letting occupyportland use two of them. I’m going to meet with him tomorrow and get the bikes ready for park use. I know we’re on lockdown tomorrow, but we hope to bring these two bikes in on Monday. Wanna be kept in the loop? Contact me via twitter: @cellardoorpdx
Quick question – listed under general- ‘power cables’ – I assume this means extension cords?? ‘cuz I have a couple I could spare.
I have the gear to create a wifi hotspot. All I would need is some electricity and a business/home (or several) within 100 meters who would let me plug into their internet connection.
Willing to come down Tuesday morning and do it. Email me if interested!
a definite wonderful see of Immediate Needs 10/8 | Occupy Portland Terrific like it
