Please join us for an exciting election evening, Tuesday October 8th, at Bagdad Theater to benefit Occupy Portland. Festivities start with a silent auction at 6:30pm, followed by four comedians, and the film “The People Speak.”
Tickets are $10, all proceeds will go to support Occupy Portland’s ongoing efforts and park restoration!
The comedy headliners are:
Nato Green, Occupy SF “Laughter Against The Machine”
Dwight Slade “Best of US Comedy Arts Festival”
Auggie Smith, winner of both San Francisco & Seattle’s International Comedy Competitions in 2010
Arlo Stone, currently occupying pdx “Comedy Central”
Based on Howard Zinn’s book, “A People’s History of the United States,” the documentary looks at America’s struggles with war, class, race, and women’s rights.
We are seeking community member’s help with spreading the word to friends and donating auction items and warm clothing for the campers.

While not 100% positive – I believe that the money will be going directly to #OccupyPortland – the 501 c3 thing I believe and hope is done – it seems to have been a misguided effort by a handfull of folks. With more eyes on this whole thing – we are in a better position than ever.
