The rich are getting more wealthy because they are intelligent and work hard. Most ( not all ) poor people are less intelligent, lazy and would rather smoke cigs and weed than work at something. What is stopping you from working your way up to CEO or starting a business?
Sun. afternoon I saw a different, second man come out of the police-surrounded park with new bloody wounds on his face, new mud on his knee, obviously in great pain and fear, saying that police had beaten him on his face, stomach, groin, and legs, and he was afraid his knee was broken. He could not stand or walk. He did not say he was interpreting for the deaf when attacked, but simply obeying police.

I saw a third man hit by police with a night stick/club jabbing him in the back against a tree where he could not escape, in a way that seemed sure to injure his kidneys, and his face and sounds made it clear he was in pain.

In the past I have witnessed fire department paramedics refuse to help victims escape danger or render them first-aid when they were the victims of police violence. They said that it is their policy. Some said that they want to police to back them when they need it. I heard them and others say that ambulance providers also do not help the wounded by police. I heard emergency room employees say that they do not document injuries from police brutality and I heard legislators say they would not push for laws that require documentation of police brutality and other terrorist acts, yet they do require doctors and hospitals to document and report possible evidence of child abuse and elder abuse of those who lose consciousness (as from police brutality) and are put at risk of losing their drivers license or job.

I heard other witnesses say they saw police beating several different people in different parts of the park than apparently the deaf interpreter had been. I heard loud sounds that earlier an expert told me were that of gun shots and of the night stick/club being used. The sounds came from different directions within the park hidden by the perimeter of police there to prevent us documenting their violent crimes. Some of them seemed intentionally covered by the police announcements. Get audio recordings to prove this. See about the federal building and courthouse and Portland Building security camera footage. Have independent investigators take blood samples, etc. from each night stick/club allowed out of the police building. Do not allow tampering of evidence-- this delay can also prevent their use for at least a week. Police will want the evidence to clear their names and taxpayers will want the investigation to reduce the cost of lawsuits, etc.

I was also concerned about another occupier who seemed targeted by police I feared would beat him after he left Fourth and Main. Can you privately check on each camper to see if they are OK?

I'm just curious as to why the Occupy movement hasn't demanded that congress pass a tax increase for the wealthiest people? Why not? The rich have gotten richer and the poor have gotten poorer. The republicans are blocking any tax increase for the rich. Send them a message of what you expect them to do for the poor and middle class.

I support the people in the camp, and am against the tactics of the city.
