No, it would mean that I stop driving a car, or taking trips on aircraft.

But, although I dont want air pollution, I recognize that it is an unfortunate outcome to satisfy my need for a car and aircraft.

I have no desire to see these businesses shut down.

I woke up yesterday morning and heard the word “referendum” coming from the cradle of democracy in Greece. It made my day. I’d like to hear that word more often.

So essentially your argument is “If you don’t like coal, you shouldn’t use electricity because that makes you a hypocrite”. So if you don’t like air pollution, and I am assuming you don’t, does that mean you should stop breathing?

Having an intelligent discussion and bringing awareness to the fact that there are far better ways to create the energy we consume and enjoy requires a better argument than your post. Personally, I would prefer “big evil energy corporations” become “big not-at-all-evil energy corporations.” Maybe that’s a good place to start the conversation as to how to do that which doesn’t require ripping open the earth, destroying land and polluting the air we all share.

Just a thought.

Anti-coal?

You should think about that before you plug you iphone/ipad into the wall to rechange, since most power in the US is coal generated.

So don’t be a hypocrite, if you are really against big evil energy corporations,…stop consuming their product.
