The physical presence of Occupy Portland is an important psychological presence as well. In our hearts and minds our relationship to Camp was that of a place of connections, information distribution, and unity. Without this prominently visible stronghold, everyone is asking, “What’s next?” The simple answer to that is – a diversity of tactics. One will certainly be a physical location for Occupy. We are looking both for short-term meeting spaces as well as a longer-term location to use as a headquarters for committees to coordinate, meet out of and to be used as a gathering space.
If your place of worship is willing to offer meeting space in the evenings between 7PM and 10PM, we would be truly grateful.
